If you ever needed evidence of Paul Harris ‘s assertion that “A musical school is a happy school” you only need to have attended this fantastic concert. Breathtaking musicianship and performances bursting with enthusiasm and joy.

A fantastic turn out for last night’s FoKES meeting. Thank you to everyone for answering the call to arms and particularly Dawn Waller for taking on the role of Chair.

There’s surely not been a better demonstration of the versatility of the Edward’s Boys company than the fabulous Hester double-bill. A daring, tense political drama followed by a comical romp brimming with irreverence. Loved it! Well done to everyone involved.

It’s amazing what a blue sky, sunshine and a magnolia in full bloom does to lift the spirits.

As the holy month of Ramadan ends, I wish our Muslim students and their families a blessed and joyful Eid-al-Fitr. Eid Mubarak!

Congratulations to Thomas Nyland who has been appointed as my successor. It has been a privilege to serve King Edward VI School as Headmaster and I look forward to seeing Thomas lead the School through the next chapter of its long and distinguished history.

Thomas’s chapter turned out to be but a page, but a memorable one. He did a fine job as Headmaster for the Day following a successful bid at last year’s May Ball silent auction.
