Was a lovely opportunity to get to go aboard the JS #KASHIMA for a Embassy of Japan UK, Centre for Grand Strategy and NATO Maritime Command roundtable on ‘European-Japanese security cooperation’. Great speakers including Rear Admiral Nishiyama (Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force), Alessio Patalano and Prof James Bergeron.

Missed this! But I shared some thoughts on the likelihood of GCAP's survival in SDR25. Main points were: - The geopolitical angle and how it connects with Labour's 'reconnecting with Europe' - Adding new partners or major changes means delays. Delays mean costs.
