Such a great surprise to see our work being highlighted by American Society for Nutrition this month! This is what many years of hard work with many fantastic mentors can produce. So thankful for their support and so excited for what is still to come! nutrition.org/taste-percepti…

Thanks #AChemS2022 for an engaging & interactive *virtual* poster session today and letting me present our work on #taste-related polygenic risk scores and fruit & veg intakes! ICYMI, higher umami (but not bitter) PRS may be associated with lower veg intake in adults🍅🥦🤔

Interesting findings now out in Nutrients MDPI indicate that bitter taste receptor genes 👅🧬may also associate with sweet🍭 and salt🧂perceptions, irrespective of age & BMI. How might this translate to dietary patterns? The jury is still out!⚖️ mdpi.com/2072-6643/14/9…

So excited to see our work on taste-related #genes being highlighted by American Society for Nutrition! Our peliminary data suggest bitter- & umami-related genes impact food choices, while sweet-related genes may impact #cardiometabolic health. Are you surprised⁉️👅 @JMHNRCA AHA Research
