Somewhat surprised with the shortsighted enthusiastic recent posts that vaccination reduces your LC chances(=old data)
➡️ SORRY TO DISAPPOINT YOU, IT DOESN'T ANYMORE.
With new immune evading variants, a disappointing booster uptake, waning immunity, let it rip policy,…

To those who believe that our flu season is worse than ever because of lockdowns causing our immunity to be lowered, hence flu is worse…
1. Where’s scientific proof
2. I have not been sick since 2020 and I’m immunocompromised.
3. You’ll not see what’s going to hit you soon.

Covid cases are still slowly and steadily working through our community. Another one today.
No fever, no respiratory symptoms.
Muscle pain, headache, tiredness, vomiting, diarrhoea.
I dropped off tests and masks yesterday, they were negative last night, positive this morning.

Had a 4th Year Medical student with me today

He was fantastic- exactly at the level I’d expect for his stage

But in no way capable of running a clinic independently…he’d be aghast even at the suggestion!

The fact we have PAs with HALF his training running clinics in the NHS…

'Be kind' 🤮

When someone objects to your tone, it is never actually about the tone. It is always about the message and they are using the tone policing to suppress the message. This is an axiom of human discourse.

STEP Trial

The STEP trial examined a cohort of patients similar to the SPRINT trial

But this time, set blood pressure targets to a range of:
110-130mmHg or 130-150mmHg.

After three years, the 110-130mmHg group had 26% fewer major cardiovascular events.

The strict blood pressure group achieved an average of 121mmHg compared to the less strict groups of 136mmHg.

Over three years, the strict blood pressure control group had 25% fewer major cardiovascular events (strokes, heart attacks, etc.).

Endemic under-employment?

Hybrid Immunity to work?

Herd Immunity creates laziness?

I've got no idea‼️

I'm concerned that bird flu may eliminate several bird species this year.

An extinction event may be happening *right now* for some seabirds that only live in colonies.

Yes, humans have caused this.

tern Here’s some very interesting official NHS measles statistics for you…

…including how many children need a hospital visit due to measles.
(Answer: 1 in 5).

What the WHAT?
Three million children in England unvaccinated for Measles?
That's less than 70% coverage 😮
What?
If three quarters catch it, and one in five need hospital treatment....
That's half a million kids needing hospital treatment.
😮

I was on my way to the next hospital I'll be working at for the next three months. I had heard about a bad outbreak of mad cow disease in Thorp, WI which was right on my way and the situation was far worse than I expected.

A friend's Dad was admitted to hospital, got C19 there & died in hospital from the effects of that infection.
His mum got C19 & had a stroke, went to same hospital & has had massive cognitive decline.
A minuted meeting took place with a snr nurse.
What they said follows 🤯
