This year has been f***king hard work. After losing Andrew, if I could forsee what this year held I doubt I'd still be here (honest post). Looking forward to next year as it really can only get better. Positives will out!!!!

Very well written piece. I've seen many patients 'stuck' on wards. It's heartbreaking to see many deteriorate. We do our best but as caring humans there is a limit to our resilience.

Our Head of Helpline Services, Kelly Thorpe, appeared on BBC Breakfast this morning to discuss the vital conversations which save lives, and open up support to people experiencing thoughts of suicide. ๐Ÿ’œ #WeArePAPYRUS #SuicidePrevention

If we make a reduction to suicide in macros, in our communities, the result on National figs. could be huge. We can all make a difference by learning to open up conversations. We need to support at grass roots because we understand our people . Jude Sarah Fitchett

The Government has chosen to waste another opportunity to save lives today. Local suicide prevention funding hasnโ€™t been renewed like we hoped it would, meaning funding that so many communities in England depend on will completely run out at the end of this month #Budget2024๐Ÿงต

It means communities are left with less support at a time when suicide rates are as high as they were over 20 years ago. The Government published a suicide prevention strategy in September - but without funding at both a national and local level, it wonโ€™t reach its targets.
