Throughout the writings of the Church Fathers, you see constant references to “the teaching of the Church,” “the Church’s doctrine,” or “the Church teaches,” etc.

Such phrases can only come from those who believe there is one true Church, teaching the same doctrine and Faith.

Reading St. Gregory of Nyssa’s “On the Making of Man,” written in the late 300s.
