Victims must be put back at the heart of the criminal justice system. Support our call for Josh’s Law to ensure victims are given information during and at the end of a criminal trial about their rights to appeal a sentence under the Unduly Lenient Sentencing (ULS) scheme.

Without tagging specific individuals in this post, I think it would be fair to say that some of my connections on this platform have influence within UK Parliament and the Ministry of Justice. Some of my followers may also be in a position to help secure a meeting with me and the

Please take a moment to listen to my MP Blake Stephenson MP who fully supports my call for changes to the Unduly Lenient Scheme (ULS) scheme which would ensure victims rights are equal to those of offenders. Blake has been instrumental in shining a light on our call for Josh’s Law.

We welcome Alex Davies-Jones MP commitment to our calls for Josh’s Law. Ensuring victims have equal rights to information about the ULS scheme. Considerations outside of the strict 28-day rule in exceptional circumstances must be applied where the Crown Prosecution Service have failed to inform them.

Looking back at those who have campaigned for a change in the law to the Unduly Lenient Scheme, to those who continue to champion my calls for Josh's Law, either in the spotlight or in the background and our more recent supporters, thank you on behalf of all victims denied their

What does celebrate your wins actually mean? For some, it is essential to highlight the significant and impactful work they do to help others. For others, it is a way to promote oneself in the ever-competitive world. In politics, it means acknowledging, publicising, and building

We cannot let this huge milestone slip through the net. To strengthen this change a formal amendment should be included in the Victims and Courts Bill. All agencies must apply this long awaited change to help further strengthen victims rights. Furthermore all victims MUST now be

Our deepest sympathies and prayers are with the family of Baroness Helen Newlove, the Victims' Commissioner for England & Wales. She turned personal tragedy into a lifelong fight for compassion, decency, and respect for all victims. Her courage and dedication have fundamentally changed our justice system 🙏🏻

As we come to the end of 2025 and the 10th anniversary of Josh's legacy, we aren't just looking back; we are looking at a transformed landscape of victim support and crime prevention. We have evolved from a voice of awareness into a driver of systemic change. Here’s to 2026 💙

This overlooked statutory right must be remedied. How many more years must this campaign continue before Government takes action and ensures victim’s rights are upheld. Ellie Reeves Alex Davies-Jones MP

The campaign to change the Unduly Lenient Sentence (ULS) scheme has been driven for years by Tracey Hanson MA, FRSA of The Josh Hanson Trust, and I have long supported it. These amendments will level the playing field and ensure victims have equal access to information and time to appeal

I have been campaigning for Josh’s Law since 2019 to ensure victims are informed about their right to appeal unduly lenient sentences. I was not informed of my right to appeal the sentence given to the offender at the end of my son’s murder trial. When victims are not informed

Today in House of Lords, we’re pushing forward important amendments to landmark victims’ legislation - Victims & Courts Bill. Keeping the focus on victims is essential if we are to make meaningful progress and improve the lives of victims in this country. parliamentlive.tv/Event/Index/bf…

Victims and bereaved families must be informed of their right to appeal before the 28-day deadline. While we are disappointed the amendment was not passed we are grateful to SalBrinton for her speech, and pleased the minister has agreed to meet before Report Stage.

This is the shocking reality of the behaviours of repeat offenders whether they been deemed mentally ill or not and the criminal justice system. My son’s murderer had 17 previous convictions and who only knows how many other offences which did not end in a conviction. And to add

Please share. Far too often bereaved victims learn new information about offenders via social media when they should be given updates by the Victim Contact Scheme. Victims rights must be strengthened. So sorry this is happening to you Nadine I can only imagine your distress.
