When in the void, the ego gets anxious. It can even conjure up sicknesses imaginary sicknesses like a nocebo pill. It can be tempting to blame the circumstances for the sick feeling and seek comfort. Instead we should lean into the discomfort. It means we're progressing.

Love can be terrifying. In the past I've found myself blaming others for the uncomfortable feeling that comes with vulnerability. But instead of saying "you did this to me! I feel bad because of you!" I should be saying "thank you for touching me in places I didn't know I had."
