Tonight I played the final mixes of my new record for one of my very best friends in the whole wide world who also happens to have the most specific discerning taste in music of anyone I know and he cried so I think I will go ahead and release it sometime soon in the near future.

We closed Swept Away at Arena Stage last night. I could write a book about what this piece means to me. For now I’ll keep it short and just say thank you. So much.

Accidentally said “looking good” out loud to a bundle of asparagus at Whole Foods today instead of just thinking it and now I’m feeling guilty that I didn’t buy the bundle.

The salad place I go to in between shows on the weekends in D.C always plays Blank Space while I’m in here trying to solitarily enjoy my kale caesar and to be totally honest with you guys I’m never quite emotionally equipped to handle it.

It is straight up stunning how someone you don’t even speak to or see anymore because they hurt you worse than anyone ever has can somehow bend the spacetime continuum and travel backwards and forwards through your lifespan to find new ways of hurting you.

We started rehearsals for the east coast bow of Swept Away this week and my heart is bursting as a result. If you’re thinking about coming to see us you might want to get your tickets sooner than later cause they are going really fast. We run from 11/25-12/30. Don’t sleep on it.

10/30) REVENGE. In the spirit of Wes Craven’s Last House on the Left this is an aptly titled film about some truly bad people who do some really evil stuff and then absolutely get what is coming to them in a satisfying and shocking showdown. Star Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz slays.

10/29) WHEN EVIL LURKS. A gnarly and rustic yarn about a small town in Argentina that is upended by a relentless and deadly evil spirit who is inhabiting various residents. Some interesting new spins on the possession film genre here with several solid and committed performances.
