At the WWSC workshop with Lauren McKee, I met many new PhD students who had just begun PhD journey alongside me. Moreover, I got to meet my co-supervisor Johan Larsbrink, and his PhD student, Facundo Ortega. We will stay in touch and embark on our academic endeavors together 🧑‍🔬

Why do it yourself when others can do the grunt work?
We think that some types of yeast rely on other bugs 🦠 to initiate xylan degradation, then grow on the “chopped up” xylan.
