Sometimes it’s extremely challenging to see the beauty in the world around us amidst so much turmoil and darkness. I remain grateful for photography as my way of finding that beauty. It forces me to slow down and truly appreciate the good in life. 💙

9 years ago today, I chased this haunting supercell through Moore, OK. The city lights below lit up its base while the lighting flashes within illuminated its updraft, creating a truly mesmerizing, if a bit ominous, scene. It was magical.
