It’s been a busy week in grade 1! Students loved practicing their mots de la semaine and did such a great job working on greater than and less than using linking cubes.

Today we talked about different types of lines and then created some beautiful pumpkin art. Great work grade 1s! 🎃

Today we practiced representing numbers. We rolled dice and then drew the number in base 10 blocks and ten frames.

Next week we stand together against all forms of bullying. Monday is Grizzly Spirit Wear / Red and Black colours; Wednesday is Pink Shirt Day; Thursday is Odd Sock Day and Friday is a retreat.

This week we worked on addition and talked about some different strategies we can use.

We had a great first day in grade 1 today! We talked about how we were feeling this morning and how we could use our “worry heart” to help us when we are feeling uneasy 💜. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
