Following protests last night in Walhalla outside a Confederate monument, curfew was in place overnight and lifted at 6AM today. Now group is putting fence around monument saying they are city officials and “have been told to put it up to protect the monument.”

SCDOT advises Upstate drivers about the potential for slippery areas of black ice overnight. Black ice is a thin layer is clear enough to see the road underneath it. The road appears wet. So when the temperature is below freezing and the road looks wet, it may be black ice.
