It was a great weekend at the Finesse Invitational! We were fortunate enough to take 1st place out of 16 great teams. We finished our pool on Sat in 1st place then had two great wins today (2-0 over Ohio Hawks National Harbold and 4-3 over Bandits Dorsey) to finish in 1st for the weekend!

Kicking off another season with Watkins Softball!! They take on Brecksville for a chance to move to 8-0

Watkins defeats Brecksville 9-0 to stay perfect on the young season. Carsyn Cassady struck out 5 and allowed 1 hit in 4 innings for the win. Kendal Tellings with 3 innings and 0 hits allowed. @Maleya_2025 with 2 hits + 2 runs while McKayla Jellison had 2 hits + 3 RBIs 👏

We open up on the new field with a lead off HR by Taylor Gerhardt and she was followed later in the game w/ 💣💣by Cortney Dobbs 2024 Ava McKee 2024 and 2 by McKayla Jellison 💪🥎. Watkins Softball opened up the new field the way we left the old one.

Finished a game from earlier this season and then played entire second game. It took a minute to heat the bats up. @Maleya_2025 w/ stocker in th1st inning. McKayla Jellison with a solo shot in the 4th & 3R💣 in the 5th. That last shot really opened the floodgates for our scoring

Exciting game this evening for Watkins Softball Awesome TEAM W tonight. Great defense all over the field. 4 💣 tonight. 1 by Jordyn Wycuff - 2 by McKayla Jellison and a game sealing 3R shot by Taylor Gerhardt in the 6th.

So exciting for another D1 district title for Watkins Softball. The team did their jobs and we had multiple clutch performances. 6 of them (Kay/Tay/Stina/Em/Bailey/Bre) will join me and Willis in being Warrior alums tomorrow including McKayla Jellison who hit a💣 tonight.

Watkins Softball gained momentum when Maleya Thompson hit an oppo💣. Then we had tons of contributors from middle 2/3 of order to add on and McKayla Jellison caps off the scoring w/ a towering shot to left center. BOOM!!! States for 3rd year in a row.
