JeffersPond 4th+5th Graders spent the day at #HighlandHills on their annual ski day field trip. Lots of smiling faces!
To celebrate the end of #ILoveToReadMonth, JeffersPond had #CozyUpAndRead today! Some classes even met with their buddy classrooms!
Today is JeffersPond #WaxMuseum in 5th grade. Students have researched famous historical figures and now today are dressed like them and presenting their story!
The tree tapping at JeffersPond has begun with help from the kinders and third graders. Maple syrup coming later this spring!
Each year JeffersPond 3rd Grade hosts a #BecauseOfWinnDixie backyard party to honor the book. From character dress-up, to egg salad sandwiches, to quotes from the book...the story is brought to life!
Today is the JeffersPond sap boiling day! Mrs. Seidensticker leads the kinders, and all other visiting grade levels, through a short presentation of the process. Tasting coming in April:)
On Tuesday, JeffersPond hosted #ClimbTheatre for our K-2 students. Their free performance this year was titled, The Super Savers and the Small Save, and had an environment theme focused on the harms of littering.
On Wednesday, JeffersPond celebrated our #ToadallyTerrific and #StudentsoftheMonth winners at our outdoor March All School Meeting. Congrats to all who show #CARES, especially those who demonstrate #Self-Control
JeffersPond 4th graders took their annual visit to Hocokata Ti, the SMSC Cultural Center, just down the road. Each year our students engage in learning about Mdewakanton Dakota history, a very rewarding and eye-opening experience.
Sometimes the JeffersPond students use flexible seating and today the teachers did for our monthly staff meeting. #Mixingitup!!

From the grow lab to the JeffersPond garden or classrooms for science experiments, the study of plants happens at many grade levels!
