The governor signed HB2254! There is now an Arizona Space Commission! (As well as a Space Exploration and Aeronautics Research Fund… which doesn’t have any money in it yet, but, step by step.)

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs and ⁦Arizona Commerce Authority⁩ President Sandra Watson talk about the future of the space economy in the state. Lots of companies moving and expanding here, and “we’re just getting started!”

Martian Surveyor To be clear, this is the Office of Commercial Space Transportation that is temporarily housed within the FAA. Its originating (and still operative) legislation had it outside the FAA reporting directly to the DoT Secretary. IMHO, its independence from the FAA should be restored.

Whether lunar resource extraction boosts the economy this decade or in 2050 is irrelevant. The policy choices we make today on things like NASA's budget and interpretation of space property rights will determine the future of humanity. Let us go boldly!

Dennis Wingo Honestly, nothing tells me 'advocates for the future are winning the argument' more than how lovers of state power are lining up to be on the other side. The State does not voluntarily relinquish power over its subjects. This means they think we might escape.

Cardinal Jefforieu I never thought 'can't happen here', but I thought 'wouldn't happen here' until the TSA rolled in. Then when I watched my fellow citizens slowly learn to shut up, follow orders, because 'It wouldn't matter even if I spoke out', then I knew America had changed.

Jeff Greason As I wrote a few years ago, the growth of contracting is the system of natural liberty reasserting itself owing to falling transaction costs.

This statement by the Chief of Naval Operations is the first time I've felt some hope for the state of the US military in a long while. Plain language. Name your threats and be honest about what is needed. Reads like something written 40 years ago.

Good words. Now, actions.

Not for the first time, I keep wondering: how did the President (ANY president) get the power to just decide what Federal employees get paid? Isn't that clearly part of Congress' power of the purse?

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Effectively dead since 1980, but the 'no borders internationalist' crowd never gives up.
