The The New York Times that recommends we all mask Says there is strong evidence masking helps Click on the word 'evidence' and it leads to a cluster RCT that was.... wait for it... Negative. It Failed to show a benefit of masking The strongest evidence they can find is negative! 🤣🤣

Amazing article and video UnHerd Margery Smelkinson, Ph.D. and lbienenvet go through the mask data & build the convincing case that making kids wear masks in Jan 2023 is based on no credible evidence, and also.... pretty stupid unherd.com/thepost/the-sc…

Poor hosp/death data drives poor policies. Poor policies create incentives that drive poor hosp/death data. "It’s time to recognize that Covid is no longer an emergency requiring special policies." Latest with lbienenvet and Dr. Jeanne Noble wsj.com/articles/the-v…

CDC concedes that their hosp data may be a mess but is emphatic that their deaths are totally accurate. Can you really have one without the other? If you incentivize testing, it'll get on death certificates. 🧵

No reduction in transmission of COVID or flu from community masking per just published Cochrane Review (widely used & trusted data source for evidence-based medicine). California Department of Public Health CDC need to address cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.10…

With the end of the COVID state of emergency, Shira Doron MD lbienenvet and I call for a return to patient-centered care: time to retire symptom checkers, visitor restrictions, and mandatory masks. @cdph sfchronicle.com/opinion/articl… via San Francisco Chronicle

The endpoint is wastewater + or -. The number of + samples is 9 (if I am reading the abstract correctly). This is really a sad study. They have no idea how many kids were using the toilet who were + or where they got Covid. Instead of RCTs we should believe shit. I give up

New study in London hospital shows no reduction in hospital acquired COVID from mask mandate, reaching same conclusion as Cochrane review. Yet Susan Philip of SF SFD Philippines has indefinitely extended our hospital mask mandate, punishable by imprisonment. healthline.com/health-news/ma…

California’s school children were weak in educational attainment before COVID-19 and fell further behind during prolonged school closures. Low income kids hurt the most. That is not what equity & inclusion looks like. calmatters.org/commentary/202…

The old saying in medicine is when you get to a cardiac arrest, first, check your own pulse In other words, you can't think well if you panic. Masking toddlers, closing schools, lockdowns, etc that was all bc rich, WFH 'experts', who don't read literature , panicked

UCSF epidemiologists analyze MMWR pubs on mask effectiveness. <15% w/statistically significant results. No studies randomized, but half drew causal conclusions. Level of evidence generated was low. Conclusions drawn most often unsupported by data. medrxiv.org/content/10.110…

Starting tomorrow, San Francisco will be the only county in the state of California maintaining a mask mandate for health care workers. SFD Philippines needs to justify its 'go it alone' mandate with data. x.com/MarlaTellez/st…

San Francisco's reading and math scores for low-income Black and Latino students are among lowest in CA, worsened by prolonged school closures. Instead of lowering standards, large increases in targeted tutoring are needed to bridge this gap. sfchronicle.com/opinion/openfo…

Child mask mandates for COVID-19: a systematic review -"current body of scientific data does not support masking children for protection against COVID". Hope MDs and public health officials will always be willing to change minds with evidence & data adc.bmj.com/content/early/…

San Francisco's mask mandate for health care workers finally expired on April 30, after 4 long years. It is scheduled to return Nov 1st. Mandates, including mask mandates, are not ethical in the absence of proven effectiveness. cambridge.org/core/journals/…
