#AtlYoungBreederSchool participants are on farm at Red Oat farms. Jeff Gunn & Ed Frazee are reviewing the Valacta app. Lots of great information and reports at your fingertips.

Also at Red Oat farms, Jon Raymond Dykstra did a classification demo with the #AtlYoungBreederSchool participants. He reviewed the traits that help lead to functional and profitable cow.

#AtlYoungBreederSchool group presentations are underway! Each team was given a real life farm example. Their “farms” had many strengths & weaknesses in which they need to address.

Lots of great discussion from the producer presentations/panel on farm progress at Dairy Focus. Ben Loewith of Summitholm, Jason VdL of Lindenright & Logan Jewell of Jewelldale all had some common themes & provided insight into their herds philosophies.

It’s official, I’m back in NS and happy to be on-farm working as a Genetic Advisor for NS Animal Breeders. I look forward to connecting and work with NS producers.

I’m back in the NSAB office and on the road this week after a successful and productive training week in Saint-Hyacinthe at CIAQ. Thanks everyone who helped out with the training. I was also lucky enough to attend some of the QC Spring Show.
