Knottown Roy(SA4604) heifer off to a flyer on a first calver. 40kg at 281 days gestation. First calf wanted to get here to see what this storm is going to be like in the morning. #sucklers #farming

When you thank your lucky stars the calf is alive and then give the rest of the evening wishing it could’ve been a heifer 😅 Fifty Cent (si2469) out of an angus Cow. #proudtofarm #farming #calving #sucklers

Another fifty cent(SI2469) calf this morning. Heifer this time so I wasn’t upset for long after yesterday’s bull. Went to 281 days gestation. #farming #sucklertobeef #proudtofarm

Nice little heifer calf by Knell(LM4217) to a second calver. Slipped out not a bother in about 3 minutes. 287 days and 46 kgs. Mammy’s a slip bit protective. #farming #sucklers

A real slip of a Knottown Roy (SA4604) bull calf. Born at 283 days and weighed 39kg. Very impressed. I was worried about this heifer, and glad to have her calved. #breeding #sucklertobeef #farming #beef

Lapon (CH4321) born during the day. Calved in about 3 minutes. I’ve a real soft spot for this cow. Delighted to get a heifer from her. 44kg at 287 days. #sucklers #breeding #farming #calving

2 from 2. Two Lapon heifers from two of my CHX heifers. Calved on her own in a matter of minutes. Delighted to have another one safely in the ground. Finish line is in sight. #breeding #sucklers #farming

Knell heifer (6.5 months) out of a Lodge Hamlet mother. Looking forward to getting them both up on a scales to see how she has gone.

Of all the years to finally get measuring grass, I think this year might be the year 😅 very easy to set up through pasture base, so credit where credits is due.

Today could’ve started out very differently, found these two surprises this morning. 20 days early (only served once). All doing fine now. The black lad is only 38kg and I reckon the red heifer can’t be more than 25kg. By LM4217.
