For every acre of #organic cereals there will be at least 1/3 acre of flower rich ley supporting pollinators. No herbicides means the cereals crop has flowering plants within the crop again feeding insects. No other farming system supports pollinators as #organic does.

So if washing doesn't keep pesticides (aka chemicals designed to kill living organisms) out of your food/body what does? Well that would be buying organic, look for Soil Association or OF&G label. theguardian.com/environment/ar…

After the riots, Keir Starmer should tell us the truth about our country. This is what he should say, and why he won't say it. This week’s column theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Yes . For #PublicHealth, for #Biodiversity - and ending this wholly unnecessary #Pesticide use is a small overall step to cutting down the burdens on our #PoisonedPlanet @PAN_UK theguardian.com/environment/ar…

This research can help us all become more aware & to open dialogues. The argument isn’t ‘either organic or regen’. Trust & transparency are multi-layered & complex values intrinsic to a positive food system. A clear picture of ecological systems & economic imperatives is vital 👀

The last dribble of #harvest24 is in the trailer and it’s been generally as miserable as expected - it’s all about 2025 now with a new cropping plan which will hopefully make us less vulnerable to our changing climate. Good luck to everyone still at it!

Feeling extremely lucky to have snatched this field of oats for Organic Arable and White's Oats after missing the deluge yesterday - even so it’s ploughed up wet enough but feels like last chances already. Hard to imagine we’ll be back in here before April! #organic
