Time’s running short to prevent the Israeli invasion of Gaza & an immense escalation in the loss of life on all sides. It’s increasingly apparent now that there’s overwhelming support for a ceasefire amongst Labour MPs & supporters. Let’s unite the party now on this critical call

Today, I am thinking of human beings in Gaza buried under the rubble. I am thinking of their joys, dreams, hopes & fears. I wonder, if the dust ever settles, whether opponents of a ceasefire will look back and reflect on the cost of their inhumanity. We need a ceasefire, now.

There was a fantastic atmosphere this afternoon at the Embassy as Ambassador Fraser welcomed the Irish Pensioners Choir to to celebrate their wonderful performance at #AnOldSongResung 🎶 The choir also performed a few songs, including a reprise of their show-stealing finale!

Tonight, the UK refused to back a UN resolution for a ceasefire. We mourn those who will die because their lives were deemed unworthy of protection. And we vow to keep demonstrating in solidarity with the Palestinian people to end the bombings, blockades and occupation.
