The symptoms of acute MI (including OMI) are identical to the symptoms of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux). Never assume that "heartburn," hiccups, etc. are due to acid without getting an ECG (and troponin)!! AND you can be fooled by a trial of antacids or "GI cocktail."
