Pollers is not the underdog, and calling out his ignorance is not punching down. Pollers has it extremely easy, because he is currently the country's biggest beneficiary of Fashionable Opinion Privilege. He has enormous cultural clout, and he's given far too easy a ride.

It's time for the Lords to get out of the way, respect Labour's mandate and get this Bill passed so working people can benefit from all the positive changes it will bring.

The Ping Pong on the Employment Rights Bill is about to begin. It's time for the House of Lords to stop blocking the Bill, so the Government can deliver the workplace rights it promised at the election. The country voted for this, working people are crying out for it. We are

Baroness Falkner, a Lib Dem for most of her career, has absolutely no business pontificating on the Labour Party. Her tenure at the EHRC has been woeful & has actively set back the cause of human rights. I am relieved to see the back of her.

Zarah Sultana voted with the Tories in every vote on the Employment Rights Bill last night. That includes voting to keep the Lords' wrecking amendments on strike ballot thresholds and to keep the 2016 Trade Union Act's restrictions on unions' political funds.

Greens 🤝 Reform ⁉️ Populists with no answers 🤬 Big on rage, light on realistic policies 👎 Spout “Britain is broken” nonsense ❌ Views empower Russia 🚝 Against HS2 💷 Economic fantasists ♻️ Love recycling (ex-Tories, or failed Corbynism) Horseshoe theory in action? 🧲

Greens in the Lords and Your Party voting against workers rights alongside the Tories and Reform. Labour is the only party on the side of working people.

'Horrendous bill' is when you abolish strike thresholds, re-establish the SSSNB, improve, abolish minimum service levels, enhance paternity rights etc etc

I'm afraid this is a shambolic response. Zarah voted with the Tories against protections for workers: most of the amendments she voted against repealed Lords' watering-down. Real trade unionists don't undermine their negotiators and then walk into the same lobby as the Tories.

Pretty much all the unions were happy with the compromise because unlike Zarah, they understand that the perfect shouldn’t be the enemy of the good.

Yes it's the coalition of the transphobes, anti-choice, social conservatives, racists, and the far right that I think really care about the wellbeing of children.
