Are you making decisions related to student behavior and discipline without digging into your data? Be careful! What’s on the surface never tells the story of what’s underneath.

I’m sharing a framework I developed a few years ago to help with systemic change. The framework is born from communication. Clear and structured communication is essential for developing/implementing change. This framework is easy to follow and gives stakeholders a voice.

As teachers are preparing to return the classroom and welcome students back into their seats here are some ideas to stash in your toolbox for redirecting student behavior. You can teach these as students return at as you're teaching routines and expectations.

The new school year is upon us as professional develop is in full swing, classrooms are being organized, and class lists are being reviewed. Who's leading PD and coaching your paras? Here are some tips that strengthens the paraprofessional's effectiveness in your classroom.

The 80/20 rule of restorative practices states that 80% of the time we should be working on building authentic relationships with our students, so that when we do need to repair harm (20% of the time) the foundation of our relationship is built. Relationships then academics!
