Year 3 had the best time at Wakefield Cathedral today for the Big Strum. We played our ukuleles and sung our hearts out with five other schools from Wakefield. The sound in the cathedral was beautiful! 🎶🎵 @JCA_Music

We are so proud of Year 3 with their excellent performances for the Big Strum. They played a mashup of songs with other schools, then took to the stage to perform ‘Roar’ on their own. They had outstanding attitudes and so much enthusiasm! @JCA_Music 🎸

Year 6 had a super afternoon finding out about Barbara Hepworth. We looked at her early life as an artist and sculptor and discussed her inspiration behind her art pieces. We created some fantastic mood boards exploring some of her work ⁦Jerry Clay Academy Art⁩ ⁦The Hepworth Wakefield⁩

🍓 Strawberry farmers 🍓 Some children are sustaining their mud kitchen project and enjoying taking care of our plants while watching them grow! Today, they harvested 45 strawberries and worked as a team to pick, wash and count them. A delicious afternoon snack! #OutdoorLearning
