A lady panch from Ugem(Sanguem,Goa) Divya Naik informed "We",the movement spearheading the cause of equality,equity,justice and life of dignity and respect to widows, that her Panchayat passed a resolution demanding doing away with regressive customs pertaining to widows.

Divya's husband died 2 yrs ago.She shunned widowhood practices,is actively working with"WE". Working on hosting an awareness meet at Uguem on June23 to commemorate International Widows Day,on behalf of "WE". She is an inspiration to all&esp to this movement.More power 2 Divya🌹

Our widow mothers should have Kukum on their forehead, Mangalsutra, colourful sarees, part of HaldiKukum etc etc. Because she is still the wife of her deceased husband & mother of her children. Give her that honour, respect & right as a living human being. Happiness Index!
