Summary. Alberta government was advised not to spend $70 million for questionable medication and they did it anyway. And taxpayers were on the hook for meds that we couldn’t use and more we didn’t even receive.

Today I learned of Janice Paskey’s passing. She was a fearless journalist and teacher. She was one of my first columnists back at Metro Calgary. She had a nose for a good story and, while we didn’t always agree, she was fiercely supportive of the mission at LWC and Metro. RIP.
