Any black woman with a public profile understands the armour of steel you have to wrap around yourself to simply do your job. The threats and abuse go hand in hand with turning up to work. So, it’s a problem when what is clearly racism & abuse is defended 1/

Make no mistake, there’s a cost to this work! But if you are I don’t do it, who will? And what’s the cost to us all of reinforcing inequitable systems that cause so much harm to so many. Be a good living ancestor, oppose all oppression and rebuild better
