Great day in guidance! Counselors & Dr. O’Hara attended an info session with the US Air National Guard, a helicopter ride out to the Montauk Lighthouse, and a career fair! A HUGE thank you to the 106th Rescue Division, especially Sgt. Cacoperdo, for this awesome opportunity!

Attention Seniors: if you have not submitted any college applications that have a 12/23-1/4 deadline, you need to see your counselor by Wednesday 12/21! Counselors and office staff will not be available over the holiday break so be sure to touch base before then!

Islip HS will be giving the ACT to all juniors on March 7! This is a great opportunity to get prepped for the exam! This course will also prep students for the March 11 SAT, which students will have to register for through College Board. Any questions, see your counselor!

Today was a great day for a College Fair! 103 colleges, universities, trade programs and the military came to Islip HS this morning to meet with our juniors and seniors! The next College Fair will be in the evening in the spring and we hope to see you there!

Prep class for the March SAT!! Juniors are strongly encouraged to take at LEAST one SAT and one ACT by the end of their junior year!
