The developments in Sudan are of great concern for the EU as well as our African partners. High-level visit by EU Africa Directors in Addis Ababa important occasion to strengthen cooperation on the Horn of Africa.

Today Africa directors from 🇪🇺 and its member states had discussions with the Government of 🇪🇹 on how to deepen our partnership 🤝. We underlined the importance of dialogue, reconciliation, transitional justice, and economic reforms in order to promote peaceful development.

Good discussions today between EU and AU on further strengthening our partnership 🤝, including on peace & security, AfCFTA and food security. 🇪🇺 and its member states are firm backers of deepening regional integration, which benefits both EU 🇪🇺 and Africa 🌍.

The 🇪🇺and the African Union have repeatedly called for a sustained cessation of hostilities in #Sudan . Visit of EU Africa Directors in Addis Ababa confirms that our long-standing partnership on peace & security remains crucial on the Horn of Africa and beyond.
