On this date 78 years ago the marvel of engineering, Intrepid, was commissioned. Today, I am thrilled to be joined by more than 20 of our very own former crewmembers as we celebrate this milestone and honor the legacy of ALL the brave men who served aboard.

Our flags will fly at half-mast as we mourn the heroic service members who lost their lives in Afghanistan. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families. We pray for the wounded and for the safe return of all serving on this mission. 🇺🇸
