Concern Regarding Arena Direct Today we received news of a new Arena Direct in a few days, this time for Avatar Collector. Instead of being 100% happy with this news, I became worried.

Yesterday, at a peasant cube, I had to pass Riftwing Cloudskate. It felt terrible. And it almost tabled! Luis Scott-Vargas taught me to love this card. When I get home, there's a tweet of him about cubing. Very on brand.

Despite Kai's finishes, he actually became my hero after I met him in 2012 playing at Pro Tour Barcelona. He graciously demolished me in draft and then kept chatting smilingly about his deck and what happened during the draft. What a great guy!

Kai was an inspiration throughout my MtG years. At Worlds 2006, Jonathan Lobo Melamed and I asked to take a picture with him. After complimenting him, he replied, “you will probably do better than me.” Of course, I didn’t. Last PT in Amsterdam, we took another picture. He was just amazing.
