Last night, 2 paramedics tragically lost their lives in an attack on Tayr Harfa, south Lebanon. This brings the total # of health workers killed in 24 hours to 9. This is shocking and unacceptable. HCW must be allowed to perform their lifesaving work without any risk or fear.

UNIFIL is very concerned over the surge of violence occurring across the Blue Line right now.

This escalation has caused a high number of civilian deaths and the destruction of homes and livelihoods.

🇺🇳Imran Riza noted that the National Action Plan on #UNSC1325 endorsed by the Lebanese 🇱🇧 govt. in 2019 has yielded remarkable achievements despite a challenging context.

The situation in South Lebanon is alarming, entering its sixth month with no end in sight.

To effectively support the Lebanese government's efforts and meet the growing needs, urgent funding is needed for humanitarian agencies and partners working on the ground.

Hiyam Fawaz, Tebnine Public School Principal, introduced a 2nd-shift session for displaced Lebanese children.

'We have no choice but to continue,' she says, also emphasizing the urgent need to address children's trauma, inflicted by the daily experience of the ongoing conflict.
