Stephen Miller has emerged as one of the most powerful figures in Trump’s second term, using bureaucratic savvy and ideological zeal to shape immigration policy—and much more—across the federal gov. His influence now rivals that of any cabinet official. nytimes.com/2025/07/07/opi…

Today we published our 2nd story investigating the backgrounds of 230+ Venezuelan men Trump deported to Salvadoran. We did a first ever case-by-case analysis and found half were in the middle of their immigration cases, including dozens seeking asylum propublica.org/article/venezu…

After > 4 months over 250 Venezuelans held in El Salvador appear to have been sent to Venezuela. Americans in Venezuela freed. Both positive devs. Still many were in the US with permission & were deported unlawfully. They should be allowed to reunite with family members in the US

His family members finally saw on TV that Julio Zambrano Perez was released from the CECOT internment camp where he was held for over 4 months (125 days) through no fault of his own. They saw him limping. He will hopefully meet up with his monther in Caracas today.

Julio Zambrano Perez is free but he was never guilty of anything. Family is still separated; Julio is back in Venezuela, his family in North Carolina. They should be given a way to reunite in the US and get some type of compensation for false imprisonment and maybe torture.

Today on The Weekend on MSNBC. Trump is gathering the data necessary to deport US-born US citizens, which is a key element of his three part mass deportation strategy: 1) Strip status, 2) Detain w/o reasonable basis, 3) Deport w/o due process.

Sanctuary cities are not sanctuaries for criminals. This is not about crime. ICE is already "flooding" sanctuary cities. New announcements are done to create fear, for PR,  and to distract or console people in non-sanctuary cities and red states where raids are also happening.
