Trudeau cites how “Canadians fought and died” beside you. Cites Iranian hostage crisis. Hurricane Katrina. La fires. 911. “We were always there”. He is not wrong to cite these key moments. The sense of betrayal is palpable.

You can tell that Justin Trudeau was a teacher from this press conference. At one point he spoke directly to Americans and even dumbed it down so the MAGA crowd could understand exactly what was going to happen as a result of the tariffs.

Canadians will always stand up for each other.
