So much gratitude to the men and women who gave their lives for our freedoms. I imagine Gen. Washington would raise a glass to the warriors and their families for their service and sacrifice. The United States. An experiment. To be protected from tyranny. That's how it all began.

An imperfect man of greatness. That was what I came to believe about General Washington. He was a man of his time. He was a great and humble leader. He was a man who owned other human beings. Imperfect.

There is a moment in my very first scene, that if you know it’s there is pretty clear. I walk in sit down, look at Seth and say my first line. In that second as I’m sitting I thought to myself “here we go”. You can actually see a little smile if you look. I was lucky and knew it.

Yes, but there were SO MANY of those moments. If we remember how lucky we are to even have a country at all... we would be wise.

Thank you Lis. Yes. My time as Washington has inspired my work now in the Political world. I hope everyone will get a chance to give the show a listen. Guardians of the Republic is the handle on Twitter for the show.
