A @TransportTrust Red Wheel has today been unveiled outside the Humber Enterprise Park in Brough - marking the site’s importance in the country’s aviation history. The first aeroplanes were built here in 1916 by Robert Blackburn. Today his daughter & grandson unveiled the plaque.

Students at @HunsleyPrimary had a brilliant time testing out Robert Blackburn’s original monoplane model!

The Red Wheel has been unveiled, taking pride of place at the entrance of Humber Enterprise Park.

Last week we unveiled our Red Wheel, marking Humber Enterprise Park as a site of transport heritage. The plaque marks the work of aviation pioneer Robert Blackburn carried out at Blackburn Aircraft Factory - one of the oldest surviving sites of aircraft manufacture 🛩
