Last weekend 33 Year 10s went to the Mendips on their practice The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expedition. This was a training weekend to help students learn about map skills and navigation, alongside working well as a team. Fantastic resilience and positivity shown from our young people, great work all!

Congratulations to Pip.P who aced his test with a PB on his lap times!🏁The next day, he shone at the IKR comp. In the Pre-Final, he climbed to P5 after a quick tyre change in the rain. Held his nerve in the Final, battling seasoned drivers. Drove home wet, oily, and smiling! 😄

A reminder to our year 11 students that the Maths department are running breakfast sessions 8.00-8.40am on Monday 10th to run through key formulae and topics ahead of the next GCSE exam 💙

It was a pleasure to welcome students and families to our Huish Aspire information event today. This new super-curricular programme aims to stretch, challenge, and inspire students on their journey to a Russell Group university or ambitious alternative. Applications now OPEN! 🤩

A queue of students came today to share their work at Proud Table, which is open every Thurs lunch. Students who bring work receive an item of stationery. For exceptional work, a bell is rung and the student can pick out a larger prize! We love seeing what our students achieve 💙

Last night we celebrated the work of our young musicians, who performed a wide variety of musical pieces and instruments during a concert to a large audience. Well done to our performers, who embraced the opportunity to showcase their talent and hard work! 💙
