In a new Nature Chemical Biology study, Chris Parker and Teijaro Lab have developed an inhibitor for SLC15A4, a protein that was largely considered 'undruggable', offering hope against autoimmune diseases such as lupus and Crohn’s.

Congrats to Chris Parker and team! Another great example of the power of chemoproteomics to discover small molecule inhibitors for challenging (membrane) proteins, this time a lysosomal one! Interesting that the small molecule inhibits protein-protein interactions (PPIs).
