Positional versatility, age, power, speed, etc… If Jazz puts up similar numbers to last season he will get paid for sure but a deal around 8/280 or 10/350 ain’t happening. I think his ceiling is 7/210. Probably will sign 6/180.

Pete Crow-Armstrong on extension talks: ā€œI’ve made it clear I want to be here for as long as they want me. I want what’s best for the team. I’m cool with being under team control and being here. League minimum ain’t too fucking bad … I play the game because I like beating

Gavin Hollowell has struck out all 6 batters he’s faced so far this spring. His fastball is averaging 95.4 mph, and his sweeper is at 16ā€ of HB, up about 5ā€ from 2025. The stuff and command have both looked sharp early.

The Cubs social media team followed Nico Hoerner around at Spring Training, with Ian Happ doing a voiceover for the video. It’s absolutely fantastic 😭

Edward Cabrera made his Cubs debut! He made a good first impression as he struck out 3 in a 2 perfect frames. The flamethrowing righty seemed right at home in Chicago as his stuff looked nearly identical to his career. That 95 MPH changeup is still so nutty!

Kevin AlcƔntara is set DH in tomorrow's game, Craig Counsell said. His schedule has been a little slow bc of offseason hernia surgery, but Counsell stressed that there's still plenty of time left in spring. "You'll see him regularly but we're just going to be a little cautious."

Dylan Carlson is 5-for-10 with 4 walks so far this spring. Statistically the front runner for the fourth outfield spot on the Opening Day roster.
