#Caturday history: During WWII, a group of Coast Guardsmen were given this kitten. She was named “Dee-Day” & became mascot for a tank-landing ship. On D-Day, she & her ship landed on Normandy. The ship unloaded its men and equipment without serious casualties. (U.S. National Archives)
