Today, I had the pleasure of receiving WFP Somalia Country Director Mr. El-Khidir Daloum and his Deputy, Mrs. Allison Oman Lawi. We engaged in fruitful discussions on strengthening cooperation between WFP and the Ministry of Ports and Marine Transport. 🇸🇴

Today, alongside SODMA Somalia Commissioner, Mr. Mohamoud Moallim Abdulle, we dispatched 500 tons of food aid from #Mogadishu Port. This generous support from the Chinese government will be delivered to SSC-Khaatumo State House regions, greatly benefiting local communities.

I had a productive meeting today with WFP Somalia Country Director Mr. Elkhidir Daloum. We discussed enhancing #Somalia's ports and maritime infrastructure to ensure efficient delivery of humanitarian aid and support sustainable development initiatives.

I had a meeting today with the Ambassador of Türkiye to #Somalia, Amb. Alper Aktaş. We focused on the reconstruction and development of Somalia's ports, with Türkiye promising technical support, training, and modernization of the country's ports.

Today, I had had a productive meeting with Ambassador Souef Mohamed El-Amine, the Special Representative of the African Union and Head of ATMIS. We discussed key initiatives for enhancing maritime security, port development, and regional integration.

Today, I welcomed a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman at the Port of Mogadishu. We discussed enhancing port services, investment opportunities, and the establishment of fishing ports to promote sustainable maritime development and coastal security.🇸🇴🤝🇴🇲 #Mogadishu

Today, I engaged in a comprehensive meeting with Ms. Ayan Keynan from UNODC Global Maritime Crime Programme, during which we discussed capacity building for #Somali women in the maritime sector and equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge.

Had a productive visit to the customs office at Aden Adde International Airport today with Minister of Agriculture, Mohamed Abdi Hayir (Maareeye). We focused on improving the management of imported goods, especially vegetables, to boost local production and support our farmers.
