'How can I explain the unexplainable? It is a very special honour.' Lily Ebert is one of the ​UK’s last living Auschwitz survivors and has devoted her life to educating people about the Holocaust. 🎖️ This week, she was awarded an MBE for her work by The King at Windsor.

Solly Perel survived the Holocaust by posing as a student at a Hitler Youth school. There, he witnessed his classmates’ indoctrination into Nazi racial theory. If he had been discovered, the Nazis would have murdered him for being Jewish. Solly recently died at age 97.

We are deeply saddened at the passing of our Honorary President and friend, Sir Ben Helfgott. Here is a tribute from our Chair, Laura Marks.

Sir Ben was knighted in 2018 for all he had done in the name of Holocaust education.

Saddened to hear of the death of Sir Ben Helfgott over the weekend. He will be much missed.
