An inspiring day for the investigators - take over day Glamorgan Archives 🔍 We searched the archives, cleaned documents from the 1600’s and digitised photos of our school being built! Diolch to Rhian and all at the archives! #history 🌍🔍

We are enjoying the start of our learning journey as history investigators! Already we are learning new skills, meeting new people and discovering a new love of history! 🔍🌍

We are using our new knowledge and research skills to investigate our school log books from 1875 through into the 1900’s 📖 We linked our findings to photographs on the school history timeline 🔍 #history #authenticlearning #aimhigh 🌍🔍

Today we used maps to navigate our way to Adamsdown Square 🔍 Glamorgan Archives we found the house we researched during our visit with you and there is still a green door! 🌍🔍

We found the location of the old school building and discussed why the school was moved? Lots of questions and research to be done from our walk today 🔍🌍

Following in the footsteps of past pupils, we think this may even be the same tree 🌳 🔍🌍

A busy session of investigating past pupils🔍 We’ve 1 original photo from our archives but with no dates! We used names written on the back of the photo along with admission records to trace Mary Williams, front row, second from left! We estimate this photo was taken in 1914!

What a week we have had for our 150th anniversary🎉 We’ve made a decision to house the historical artefacts about our school at the Glamorgan Archives from this summer. It’s been a wonderful 3 years of fact finding, well done &thank you to all the investigators 🌟 #150th 🌍
