Richard II married Anne of Bohemia in Westminster Abbey #onthisday in 1382. Anne was crowned in the Abbey two days later. It's thought that the Liber Regalis (or 'royal book') - an illuminated manuscript with ceremonial instructions for a coronation - was made for the occasion.

Buildings That I'm Thinking About 2/2: Westminster Hall (London); earliest phase of masonry walls late 11thC, roof late 14thC. Remarkable to think that this building was not listed until 1970. Just think about that for a moment - no legal protection until 1970!
