Time to correct false transport claims such as "LTNs increase pollution" ⛔️ LTNs in fact improved AQ both within the areas & on boundary roads in published paper on #Islington LTNs ✔️ sciencedirect.com/science/articl… theguardian.com/environment/bi…

Shout out to the Royal Borough of Greenwich parking attendant who stepped in to the role of traffic officer, without whom the standstill on Crooms Hill which included a police response vehicle and an ambulance would probably still be there. 👏👏

Phew that was close. Who needs toes anyway 😬. And another cyclist pushed onto pavement on this narrow residential street in West Greenwich.

When West Greenwich LTN was in place with ANPR, London Ambulance Service & @MPSGreenwichWst responses were free flow. Now they have to stop twice on this street, in gridlock at the narrow end and to open/close widths restrictors at the top. Royal Borough of Greenwich Cllr Anthony Okereke Make it better again.

More incidences of brave Royal Borough of Greenwich traffic wardens stepping in to free up gridlock in West Greenwich. Look forward to RBG’s New Year resolution to reduce cut through traffic on our very narrow streets.

Once again emergency call out delayed. Police had to warn off driver and break the log jammed Crooms Hill which routinely faces cars mounting pavements in order to progress and respond. When there was ANPR, emergency responses were able to drive through with little delay.

7:40am today in West Greenwich by Greenwich Theatre. Constant stream of cut through traffic. No train strike, no road works, no traffic incidents on surrounding main roads. Last chance to feed into Royal Borough of Greenwich ‘East & West Traffic’ consultation. Closes today 5pm.

Please make your voices heard so that inconsiderate car drivers don’t dominate the discussion. 40% of households in Greenwich don’t own a car. We favour option A & will stand up for: children’s health pedestrians cyclists safe streets clean air reduction in through car traffic

Two days left to respond to the East and West Greenwich consultation. Here is our view on why Option A is the preferable outcome for health, active travel and the climate greenwichcycle.wordpress.com/2023/09/29/our…

We’ve published a recommendation to make the West and East Greenwich Neighbourhood Management Scheme permanent, with some changes. Independent data shows reductions in traffic and air pollution indicators, and people have said they’re walking more.
