Highland's Garden Growers are getting ready for SPRING!! 76 students signed up to be in our group and they are all hard at work getting the planting beds, our new raised beds, and the front of the school in shape for planting!

Students in Mrs. Hausrath's class got a once in a lifetime chance to ask the world famous Jane Goodall questions via SKYPE. They were able to send in questions that Ms. Goodall would respond to via a live feed! What an experience!!!

SABAH - Students in Mrs. Funigiello and Mrs. Anderson's classes participated in the SABAH celebration March 16th and ROCKED Key Bank Center! Highland's amazing teachers and staff spent their Saturday to help the kiddos SHINE!!!

Can you DIG IT? March 27th 4th and 5th grade students performed the play DIG IT! Audiences were treated to a trek to ancient times! A great time was had by all! Bravo and Brava to all of our performers and a huge thanks to Mr. Creech and Mrs. Fox!

Orchestra students at Highland had a very successful year. Our 5th and 4th grade students played in the NYS Solo Festival (NYSSMA).Seven 4th graders and two 5th graders performed level I and level II solos for adjudicators, along with New York State top student musicians.

Our 4th and 5th Grade students performed at Fantasy Island on May 18th! Our Lake Shore pride shined! Great job to students and Mr. D'Amaro, Mr. Creech, and Mrs. Streeter!

May 15th our students in grades 2 and 3 presented STONE SOUP! They told a beautiful story about sharing, caring for each other, working together, and making a difference. Remember that everyone has something to give!

At our Evening with the Arts, our robots, controlled by students, channeled Jackson Pollock and created their own masterpieces!

Our 4th and 5th grade students rocked their Band, Orchestra, and Chorus concert last Thursday!

Our 4th graders went on a fabulous trip this week to learn about our own city's amazing history, and they did it on the brand new BUFFALO DOUBLE DECKER BUS TOUR!

Who knew Baby Beluga could be so adorable? Our 1st graders showed off their singing and acting talents in their Baby Beluga play!

I spy with my little eye something new to Highland's hallway thanks to an amazing group of teachers and staff! We are almost ready for the kids to come back! Are you ready?

We are moving along swimmingly at Highland! Next week we will be ready for a new school of fish!

Highland Remembers September 11th, 2001. Our kindergarten students placed flags around our school sign in remembrance of all the lives lost that day and to remember all the families that live on without their loved ones.
