The very first article of Matthieu Hicguet has just been accepted in Angewandte Chemie. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an… It deals with the threading of linear molecules through macrocycles thanks to boron. We could isolate a rotaxane thanks to this methodology. ISCR ENSCR Université de Rennes

Our second paper on threaded BODIPYs is out in ChemistryOpen. This time, we used another macrocycle that also gives emissive and photostable species. Matthieu Hicguet struck again! 👏👏👏 Much more to come soon... Stay tuned! ISCR #OpenAccess Boron-Chem-Research

I had frequent meetings and discussions with Jean-Pierre Sauvage (JPS) from the 1980s onwards. They were always immensely enjoyable. We were very carful not to step on each other’s toes. We have six joint publications between 2011 and 2013 when JPS visited NU on a regular basis.
