I volunteered to be redeployed to A&E at the start of the pandemic. The only path 🔬 trainee from my dept to go. But it ultimately meant I sacrificed my first attempt at the RC of Pathologists Part 1 exam. It was worth it. Second attempt but today I found out I’ve finally passed 🎉💃🏻🍾

FRCPath Part 1 passed 1st time- absolute relief! Very grateful to be in such a supportive department and so glad to have found the speciality after so much anxiety over my future career.

As we look back on a year like no other, I want to reflect on the tremendous achievements and response of our NHS. I was privileged to join colleagues at St Paul’s Cathedral to commemorate the 73rd birthday of the NHS, which was awarded the George Cross by Her Majesty the Queen.

I'm a Consultant Microbiologist and Vice-President of the Royal College of Pathologists. I've worked in infection for 25 years. I'm triple jabbed because SARS-CoV2 is a dangerous virus and I know vaccination protects me and all around me. We are privileged to have access in UK.

A well as daily rates setting new U.K. records and rising at over 10k cases daily the Zoe app is picking up big increases in the elderly for the first time this year. Covid is not over.. thx for everyone’s support!
