Our study Immunity uncovered rod-shaped microglia as key responder to cortical hyperactivity in TDP43 neurodegeneration. These specialized microglia align with dendrites, remodel synapses, and provide protection via TREM2 signaling. Thanks Manling Xie for the leading efforts!
